The party resupplies at the Drow outpost and then sets out to hunt the dragon. A protracted and difficult fight forces the party to split and lure the dragon out of the main cave. They seek temporary refuge in the abandoned shelter of the Caligni, while Corbin lures the dragon south. They execute their pincer attack, hitting like a hammer on an anvil, and slay the dragon! The mighty beast falls and its treasure hoard beckons.
