The Caves

  • Dungeon with a faction of 31 Dark Creepers with a Dark Stalker Leader and an Otyugh and a clan of 22 opposing Troglodytes, ooze.

  • Dark Creepers keep an Frost Giant sedated in a cave and draw its blood for vile magic. The Ice Giants body causes the peak of the Frassberg to be covered in ice and snow.

  • Oozes, tended by the Troglodytes. Troglodytes want the Dark Creepers gone, don’t understand the Ice Giant business. Want to use the space for a giant ooze pit.

1-9: Dammed and fouled river, Ooze pit, Troglodyte leader lair

1-11: Troglodyte lair and treasure

1-12: Troglodyte guards

1-13: Old bandit storage

1-14: Abandoned storage, secret access to 2-11

1-15: Trap

1-16: Guards and access to 2-1

Level 2: Dark Creepers and the Ice Giant

2-1: Entrance from 1-?, alarm

2-2: Dark Creeper guards

2-3: tunnel with supplies

2-4: Dark Creeper Otyugh tender and trap

2-5: Otyugh lair

2-6: Dark Creeper camp

2-7: Dark Creeper leader bedroom

2-8: Frost Giant access. Cave with soporific mushrooms that fill the cave with spores. The Dark Creepers have developed an immunity. Mushrooms need to be tended to keep the cave filled with spores. Save vs. Poison or fall asleep. If the mushrooms are destroyed or the Dark Creepers killed, the Ice Giant will wake up. Ice Giant is sitting in the center of a the cave in a depression, his treasure hoard at her feet. (E + 5,000 gp). Her name is Glakta. If she wakes, she will attempt to re-establish her domain over the Frassberg and demand tribute from the surrounding area.
